Easter Sunday Activities

Apr 17, 2014 | Posted by Ann Wycoff, Ph.D. | Holiday Tips | 0 comments |

With Easter Sunday approaching on April 20th, we wanted to share some fun articles detailing some different Easter activities you can participate in with your kids this year! We know that the same routine each year, while always a good time, can feel a bit uninspired. It’s fun to shake things up every once in awhile and it will be even more exciting for your children when they don’t know exactly what to expect!

1.) Easter Morning Yarn Maze: This game requires you to hide your children’s Easter baskets in special hiding spots throughout the house. Then you attach a different colored skein of yarn to each basket and go wild! Make it criss cross around objects, by each other, and throughout every room in the house. Finally attach the end piece to their doorknob or bedpost for them to find when they wake up. Then they must follow it while collecting all of their designated yarn until they find the special place that their Easter basket is hiding!

2.) Eggshell Candles: This is a fun arts and crafts activity for you and your kids. This guide will tell you how to transform a simple dye colored egg into a funky candle/decoration for your house!

3.) Egg and Spoon Race: Each child starts at the starting point holding a spoon with an egg balanced on it and their free hand behind their back. The first one to make it to the finish line without dropping their egg wins!

We hope you enjoy these ideas and enjoy Easter with your families this coming Sunday! What traditions do you and your families participate in each year?

HAPPY EASTER!!!
